Term 2 Maths

Maths Outside

This term in the Middles we are working on Problem Solving using the four Operations, students are currently being assessed and will be placed on the new continuum very soon. At home students might like to begin revising their times tables to assist them with the strategies for metal computation. Students will also continue to work on the Numeration and Place value continuum as needed.

Maths Inside

Our focus for Maths Inside this term is Chance and Probability, Mapping and Time. We will be completing our unit on chance early in the term and then moving onto Mapping.

Term 1 Maths

Maths is off to a flying start in term 1, 2016! Middles teachers are pre-testing all students in order to place them accurately on the Numeration and Place Value Continuum. Students will be working on a variety of outcomes over the term, constructing, transferring and applying their knowledge, understandings and skills.
